The introduction of Dexfen-Phen reinvigorated the market, and it was thought to be even better than Fen-Phen when it came to fighting obesity. Just like the fenfluramine and phentermine combine, Dexfen-Phen was not intensively tested for safety. The company’s focus at this time was to ensure that the FDA would approve its new product before the patent on fenfluramine ran out. As such, it was not highly preoccupied with the adverse effects of dexfenfluramine on the people who consumed it.
The combination was extremely effective in helping people lose weight very fast, but it also proved harmful for some people who took it. The main side effects were problems with the heart and lungs, including primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH). Fenfluramine was finally taken out of the market in 1997, while Adipex continues to be authorized solely upon prescription.

There are side effects with just about everything nowadays. The only one I had was a dry mouth and maybe a little sleeplessness at night. Everybody is different. But I never felt better in my entire life and I lost 45lbs in 6 months. I was full of energy and I felt great. I didn’t feel good when I was very overweight and you only live once.
For Weight Loss: “Started taking this medication towards the end of February. In 6 weeks I lost 30 lbs. I also have a great deal amount of energy but I did also make some serious changes to my diet as well. Overall, this is a great and pretty safe drug to use.”

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and it makes your metabolism extremely sluggish. I didn’t eat a ton of food but could never lose weight. I was stuck. My endo prescribed this 15mg for me on 12-7-15. I have taken it faithfully since and have lost a very healthy 42 pounds which really helped with my recent hip replacement. I am off for the moment because of my surgery but will go back on and finish what I have plus the 1 refill I have left and then I will be off for awhile. I have found it to be a great help. I have not had any of the terrible emotions or side effects described in some of these reviews. I cut way down on carbs and almost totally eliminated sweets. I really love this medication. My husband saw my success and took the 37.5 prescribed by his MD. He was only allowed for 3 months. He has lost 36 pounds and he has kept up being active. This has been a great boost for each of us. I am so sorry for others problems.
Patients with health conditions, those taking prescription medications or over-the-counter supplements, women who are pregnant or nursing or anyone under 18 years of age should contact a doctor before using phentermine.
My doctor prescribed phentermine for me 4 months ago . I have lost 40 pounds. I am 5’4 and I started at 190lbs. I now weigh 150 pound. I feel great and the phentermines worked really well for me. According to the BMI for my height I should weigh 145 to be at a healthy weight. So I have 5 pounds to go to get there. My doctor won’t prescribe past 4 months. I want to lose another 30 pounds. Weight loss is not easy. I try to workout 4 days or more a week but sometime my back starts hurting and then I am out for 2 days. When I first started taking the pills my heart was racing, my mouth was dry, and Icouldn’t sleep. In fact I experienced alot the the side effects. I thought about stopping but at this point I couldn’t take being fat anymore. I tried everything including weight watcher, slimfast and Nutrisystem. I told myself to just give it a while and things would calm down. Guess what it did. Nothing in life is easy people! If you want to stop being afraid to look at pictures of yourself or looking in the mirror with dissappointment, do something about it and stop whining about everything. Phentermines have done wonders for me and I am glad I stuck it out! It really is true that nothing tastes as good as thin feels!
“I love, love, love this medicine. I weighed 146lbs last month, I now weigh 127lbs and counting. I’m getting married in a month and this has so saved me. I would say try it if you haven’t already because everyone I know wants it now they see how it worked for me so fast.”
You now know the facts about Adipex prescribing, dosage, side effects and results. Still curious about real users’ experiences with this prescription weight loss drug? Here are the stories of two women who took Adipex, and a little about their success stories!
In 2005, however, new regulations were implemented and prescribing Adipex online became illegal. You must now participate in an in-person doctor’s appointment before receiving a script for Adipex. This is to help protect consumers from phentermine’s potentially-dangerous side effects, as well as minimize abuse of controlled substances. At this point, any website claiming to sell real Adipex without a prescription is either not selling Adipex, or selling it illegally.
The pressor response to some sympathomimetics is exaggerated in patients currently receiving tricyclic antidepressants. Concomitant use of tricyclic antidepressants with sympathomimetics, including phentermine, should be avoided whenever possible.162
Thanks, I appreciate it. Not fun to be ripped off. I can’t help to notice that a lot of these sites advertise “Phentermine” but when you go to the actual site, it then becomes “Phenramaine” or some other spelling other then p-h-e-n-t-e=r=m-i-n-e. I’m sure some people don’t even notice.

I was prescribed this by a doctor almost a year ago, but because of how powerful it is that particular doctor required that I actually visit every two weeks to see how I was doing. In the two weeks of taking it my blood pressure actually went up. I was 28 years old and had never had high blood pressure before. I was pretty much told if it doesn’t go down I’d have to be taken off of it. Four weeks later with my blood pressure being taken every two weeks it never went back down and I had to stop. Two weeks after that my blood pressure was completely normal.
Yes! Try Phentramin D or Phentaramin. Both have waaay less side effects and work very similarly to Phentermine. Google it and you will see lots of posative reviews. I myself have taken it for 3 months and lost 43 lbs amd had no notable side effects at all.
Unneeded medications should be disposed of in special ways to ensure that pets, children, and other people cannot consume them. However, you should not flush this medication down the toilet. Instead, the best way to dispose of your medication is through a medicine take-back program. Talk to your pharmacist or contact your local garbage/recycling department to learn about take-back programs in your community. See the FDA’s Safe Disposal of Medicines website (http://goo.gl/c4Rm4p) for more information if you do not have access to a take-back program.

I started Phentermine 4 months ago to help me lose weight. I saw an Endocrinologist that diagnosed me as pre-diabetic. I had high cholesterol, LDL, glucose and A1C numbers. I had tried every other diet out there (Atkins, Medifast, Jennie Craig, WW, juice fasting, you name it!) and none of them had worked for more than 1-2 months. They just weren’t sustainable long-term.
